About Harrison Trinder
I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Kinetic Imaging from Virginia Commonwealth University and earned my Master’s from the School of Visual Arts.

I primarily focus on 2D and 3D mixed-media animation with an emphasis on sound, using a wide range of applications and tools. My style emerges through the consistent clash of visual elements, creating a structure that feels both slow and chaotic. Much of my work explores narratives and environments designed to capture a strong sense of place.

This often results in a tone of nostalgic horror, prioritizing abstract stylization over cinematic flow and continuity. I create because I enjoy the process, even when I can’t fully explain why certain works take shape. What matters to me is preserving the spark of emotional inspiration and striving to make something I haven’t seen before.

My influences include Henry Darger, Jan Švankmajer, cults, true crime, fake crime, trees, the California Raisins (53 and counting).
